FMA AU ideas

So, I suddenly have been getting a couple FMA AU ideas, and one of them is based on this art by smug-as-a-snake from Tumblr:



Any of you guys know the movie The Other Guys, the police comedy movie with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg? Yeah, I'm suddenly thinking Roy and Maes in a similiar situation like Will and Mark's characters in the movie. Actually, I don't care what kind of situation Roy and Maes are in as long as there some police bromance being thrown in, haha.

Another idea I suddenly thought of  while at work last night is Riza and Rebecca in Chicago, being the main ladies Velma and Roxie. The only main problem is I totally don't see Riza as Roxie. Then again, Rebecca could be Roxie and Riza could be Velma, LOL.

So yeah, these are the FMA AU ideas that popped inside my mind that I'll most likely will not be able to write, LOL. Dang it, why can't I think of ideas of how to deal with the third chapter of my FMA Big Bang instead? D:

I didn't see "The Other Guys" but I did read about it when it came out...and that sounds like an awesome AU idea! XD Roy and Maes police bromance for the win!

You should totally see the movie, it's quite funny! And yes, Roy and Maes police bromance ftw! I can totally see Roy and Maes acting like the characters in the movie somewhat.

Oh my gosh, if I wasn't working on my Roy and Riza dealing with Ishval fic, I would have done that AU idea for this Big Bang.XD;

Big Bang \o/ I'm planning to join one myself next year, for the Supernatural side. Already working on my fic, lol. 12k+ so far already.

Big Bangs are fun. I already done one for FMA and am doing it again for this year. There's also a Pokemon one going on now, but I decided to not do it now because FMA Big Bang is running around the same time and I decided to beta my friend's fic for Pokemon Big Bang instead.

Oh, awesome! Good luck with that. And woot, 12K! Haha, for my FMA Big Bang I already had around 10K of written stuff before I signed up for it, but a lot of it are fragmented scenes. D: I got an idea how I'll manage the plot now, so I should be able to connect the scenes sooner or later.

I've never done one before myself, so it'll be a new experience. '^' And man, I haven't touched Pokémon for years... although yeah, that reminds me that I'll need a beta too, and I always suck at finding one... orz

lolol yeah sign ups are only like January next year, but I'm just bashing out whatever's in my head now and then subsequently connecting stuff together. Got the ending and beginning out though, which is... nice... but now the middle part is starting to have me drawing blanks. WHAT IS PLANNING.

I haven't written anything Pokemon related too saved for a couple one shots here and there. ^^; I can beta for you though if you plan to get back to Pokemon fic writing. :3

One day, one day... though I don't mind if you beta my SPN big bang when the time comes, I just need somebody to point out my mistakes anyway OTL.

AND YEAH I DO HOPE SO... I'm trying to plan the basics out at least, so hopefully I'll have something eventually.

Hm, I never got to watch the Supernatural episodes and I tend to beta works from fandoms I'm familiar with. I went to check real quick how many seasons Supernatural has, and it seems there's six seasons so far. Would it be fine if I just jump straight through the sixth season to get familiarize myself with the characters, or would I have to know what happens from the beginning? If that's fine, I should be able to get through all of season six before January and beta your story.

Well I won't recommend the sixth season since it's not the best base to go with (what with one of the guys lacking his soul for half of the season and all that), but I think seasons 4 + 5 would be the best bet to go with, since majority of the characters are there. But... hmm. I am using characters from Season 6 too, although I think you can just youtube scenes up since they (Balthazar & Raphael) don't appear too much throughout it.

That said, you don't need to start from the beginning - my story's AU'd to the nth degree, so its cool. Of course, if you feel pressured about it I can just ask somebody else to help me do it, s'cool. |D

Okay cool, thanks for letting me know. I might check out seasons 4 and 5 when I get the chance. Yeah, I think it's best if you ask someone else to look through it, but if you can't be able to find someone else I'm willing to beta the story. :)

It was mostly a random thought a-ahaha, so yeah. It was really nice of you to consider it though! I'll keep it in mind in case I really need it in the future.
