New Laptop!

As some of you may know, my old computer pretty much died on me Tuesday due to its hard drive being burned out. On Thursday night my dad and I went to Best Buy and I got a new laptop, AradiaHawkeye! :D Some things got saved/not saved:

-Luckily I have my

help_japan and

help_mindanao saved in Dropbox/flashdrive, so at least I didn't lose those. I'm working on them, I'm working on them!

-I didn't get the chance to save the later chapters of Chasing the Desert except some changes I did on Chapter Six, but I emailed them to Beta A (

muziris) a while back so I can retrieve them from there. Speaking of which, I'm hoping around this week I'll post Chapter Six of my FMA Big Bang story, so watch out for that!

-One good thing about this is I get to use the free trial of Scrivener again! :D Once the thirty days are up though...er, don't have much money on me yet. >.>;

-Music files should have put it in my flashdrive, gah. However, I actually had them uploaded back at Google Music, so around 90% of my music is saved there. I can download the songs back into this laptop, but it's going to be a pain to do it, lol.

-Pictures and videos weren't saved, though! D:

So yeah the past couple of days had been setting up my laptop and trying to get used to Windows 7 even though I used that OS back at my workplace, heh. Let's see how long this laptop will last. XD

Some happenings and list meme

-Tuesday I had to go to the DMV (my mom wants me to save a spot for her while she drops my sister to her college) and bleh longggg line as it was closed on Monday due to President's Day. All I'm going to say is the DMV might need to be reinvented.

-Last night found out my doctor's appointment had been rescheduled from March 2nd to March 1st, which is the same day I have to turn in my

fmabigbang, haha. Most likely I'll email the story minutes before I leave. Nothing serious, physically or mentally, is wrong with me, but I do have a physical condition of sorts that I have to go to a specialist for check up every few months.

-Related to the last point, got some art emailed from two of my artists.

seta_suzume already mentions one of them (SMILING SCAR, YES! XD) and my other one showed me two of hers, one of which is Roy and Riza...perhaps sexy politics? Yes, I went there with mentioning that movie. I'm glad a smut scene of mine is decent enough for art, LOL.

-So, how about that news over Pokemon Black and White 2? I'm still unsure what to think. I do know though I need to get back playing Pokemon Black. Might do that after FMA Big Bang.

marukyuu from the Pokemon Big Bang meme! Sorry for the delay, a bit caught up on a few real life things. As I mentioned to the people from the FMA friennding meme, most of my posts will be fandom ramblings and talks about my fanwork projects. At the moment I post mostly FMA fanfiction, but once in a while you guys might see a Pokemon fic from me here (I posted a couple actually under the 'pokemon', 'fanfction', and 'writing post' tags if you all want to have a look around). :)

For today's post, got some free food. The city I volunteer worked for was hosting a huge luncheon for all the city employees and volunteers. There were all kinds of food, which mostly consists of sandwiches, stuff from KFC, pizza, and lots of dessert, haha. Ate the chicken, biscuits, and sandwich and was quite stuffed. And no, I didn't get the chance to eat dessert. D:

Something else happened today I like to mention. Right after I came home from work I went to take out the trash, only to find a homeless guy (or I assumed him to be) rummaging through the trash. ._. I stared at him for a second before throwing the trash away and leave. Awkwarrrrd moment there.

I also want to talk a bit over my progress with

fmabigbang, which is also apprently my NaNoWriMo project for this year, but I'll save that for next time as apparently I'm still slightly tired from all the food I ate today. Hopefully I'll still be able to write at least sometime later, heh.
