School Days (with reaction images!)

I'll be doing a meme and fandom to do list post tomorrow, but for now I feel like doing this.

Okay, anyone heard of the anime/visual novel game School Days? Well, I actually got a chance to watch it while some was livestreaming the uncensored version of it last night, so I decided to give a quick through of my reactions to the story with images/gifs. Probably not funny, but this is a fun thing I want to do after lalikaa did a gif post a while ago over what happened to her during Spring Break (glad you're okay, sweetie!)

Warning as there are spoilers if you guys plan to watch it one day. Real quick the version I watched is the uncensored version. From what I heard, the censored ending has NICE BOAT. I'm not going to go into detail what happened at the end, but yeah again can't promise you this post is spoiler free. Oh, and because I watched episodes 4-12 in one sitting, I might get the scenes mixed up.

All right, so at first I was like this all day yesterday because I was unable to fall asleep the night before.



A little while after I got back from work, my friend Matt/enigma_shadow1 linked me and Dawn/nekusagi to a livestream of School Days. At first I wasn't sure about it because I have a couple fics I should be editing, but I had a shitty day and decided to bite as watching it will relax me. With that said, the three of us were watching and chatting with the other people watching the livestream of the show.



Before I go on, quick info on the three main characters: Mako, Seki, and Kotonoha. Makoto is in love with Kotonoha and the two are seeing each other, but Kotonoha isn't ready to go into the next step of their relationship. Seki is Kotonoha's friend and knows of their situation, but is in love with Mako. Yeah, you guys are already shaking your heads and know where this is heading to.

I came in the stream late, so I saw the fourth episode first of that anime. At first I was like "wut?" when Seki said she'll help him "practice." Righhhhhhht.



When episode 5 came, it starts off with the characters in a pool. Total fanservice, but I ain't mad.



However, it then ended with Seki and Makoto kissing and then straight to sex.



The sixth episode I don't remember much except the occasional scenes with Seki and Makoto, but the ending has Kotonoha going to say she loves Makoto, only for her to see Seki and Makoto doing it. Yes, I was like "poor Kotonoha! :<" when I saw that scene (has that happened to me a couple times, so I feel for her D: ).



After that episode, the person doing the livestream mentioned how it'll go downhill from there. Needless to say, he was right, but I'm still having fun watching the episodes. Pretty much later on with the story there are other girls that wanted to be with Makoto and he pretty much...slept with all the ladies that wanted him.



When the tenth episode was on, I was beginning to be REALLY REALLY SLEEPY.



However, there are only a couple episodes left, so I still stayed until the very end and enjoying the ride.



Now, I can't remember if it was episode 10 or 11, but in one of those episodes Seki says that she's pregnant with Makoto's child. AND SHE'S FINE WITH IT EVEN THOUGH SHE'S IN HIGH SCHOOL AND MAKOTO HAS BEEN CHEATING ON HER.



Eventually it seems the women don't want to talk to Makoto anymore (I think that's what happened, again watched the episodes in one sitting) except for Kotonoha, her eyes looking all empty and creepy. I was then like, "Kotonoha, what happened to you?"



To backtrack a bit, Kotonoha went crazy after she saw Makoto with Seki. At first, she tried to think up ways of becoming a better girlfriend. However, everyone has been saying how Makoto and Seki are seeing each other and that Makoto is not Kotonoha's boyfriend anymore. Makoto even said to her she's not in love with her anymore. That then led her to keep denying she and Makoto aren't seeing each other...and her being all crazy.

It was then close to 2am where I'm at and me and Matt were partying hard because the uncenosred version of episode 12 is going to start.



The last episode was playing, and then comes to the part where Seki stabs Makoto to death after seeing Makoto with Kotonoha.



I then realized that Seki left Makoto's body lying around at her place after she ran away. STUPID.



Soon, Kotonoha saw Makoto's body with a blank stare. Ah oh.

The two ladies then meet. Kotonoha claims Seki is lying about her pregnancy so that Makoto stays with her *snickers* and then shows Seki Makoto's head. causing her to scream. Kotonoha then went and killed Seki.



I thought the show's going to stop there, and I would be content with it. HOWEVER, Kotonoha then and sliced Seki opened. I was like, "Did she just..."



...Yep, Kotonoha finds out Seki was lying about the baby.



The show then ends with Kotonoha cradling Makoto's head with her, hence the NICE BOAT reference. For a few minutes I tried to make myself not be shellshocked over the ending.



After able to do that, it's close to 2:30am and then I went to bed.



So there you have it folks, my reactions post to School Days. I probably done this post very poorly, but it's still fun doing some commentary over the anime, haha.

0_o Woah, that sounds like a very strange series! I've never actually heard of it before this, but I love reading commentaries like this XD

Thanks for sharing <3 (and I died at that Kurt gif that followed "The last episode was playing, and then comes to the part where Seki stabs Makoto to death after seeing Makoto with Kotonoha." LOL)

I don't remember how I heard about the series, actually. XD I think it was while going TV Tropes and then there's the mention of NICE BOAT. And it is a very strange series. Think high school drama gone really wrong, haha.

No problem! It was fun doing this, though it took me a while to look through the many pics/gifs I have, LOL. Haha, Makoto does deserve it for cheating Seki and Kotonoha. :P And oh man, Kurt. I love him in Glee and a lot of gifs with him are awesome. XD
